Medical Gases is proud to have been awarded a contract worth over £2m for the installation of the laboratory gas systems at The Francis Crick Institute in London. The scope of work includes the installation of more than 15000m of high purity distribution pipework and 125 cylinder gas manifold stations to over 1000 terminal units. The Institute is scheduled to open in 2015. When it is fully operational it will house some 1500 staff, making it one of Europe’s largest centres of biomedical research and innovation.

Great Ormond Street

 

The Premier Inn Clinical Building is the second of two new buildings that comprise the Mittal Children’s Medical Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). The Mittal Children’s Medical Centre will deliver the hospital’s vision of providing modern facilities for all acute inpatients, where a parent or carer can stay comfortably by their bedside. The seven storey facility will provide spacious bedrooms, two integrated theatres, two anaesthetic rooms, a post anaesthetic care unit, a high dependency area and a 16 bed isolation facility.

Medical Gases will install systems providing the facility with medical oxygen, medical air, surgical air, medical vacuum and anaesthetic gas scavenging systems (AGSS). All beds will be provided with dual circuits for additional resilience.

The £50m Birmingham Dental Hospital and School of Dentistry is the first integrated, stand-alone dental hospital and dental school to be built in the UK for almost 40 years. Work started in 2013, building the facility on the former home of BBC Pebble Mill studios. Medical Gases is currently designing and installing the dental gas system and a laboratory gas system within the new university teaching hospital. Services include O2, N20, vacuum, compressed air and various specialist gases for laboratory use.
