Puretech, with sister companies Medical Gases and Microgas Systems, pride themselves on the quality of their products, installations and service delivery, and this has been fundamental to the company in establishing themselves as pioneers of high purity delivery systems for purified water, pure steam, high purity gases, medical gases and process systems, delivering solutions to customers throughout the world in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, biopharma, life sciences and semiconductor. In the last few years, the company has taken steps to consolidate this position and ensure that they continue to provide a world-class offering to existing and new customers in the future.
Becoming part of the £2bn multi-national technology & engineering company, Indutrade, in September 2020, gave Puretech access to increased investment and the benefit of Indutrade’s network, corporate procedures and training.
To enable Puretech to increase their production capacity and develop new capabilities, Managing Director, Andrew Barrett led the move to a new 40,000 sg/ft state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and office space located in Salfords, Surrey.
Following the move in January this year, Andrew, who was the founder of the company back in 1983, who has been Managing Director ever since, retired from the company leaving the position to be filled by the long-standing Technical Director, Gary Littlewood.
Gary, who has worked in the company since 1984, brings both engineering & technical expertise and an in-depth knowledge of the company to the role of leading Puretech into the future.
“Our success is built on our people, quality and innovation. We have never been scared of exploring new opportunities. We have a very skilled team, which time and again has proved how capable it is of stepping up to new challenges. Our people, quality and innovation will continue to be key values of the business as we move forward.”
Gary is supported by a strong management team, including long term Sales & Commercial Director, Bob Smith who is also responsible for ensuring the sustainability of the company’s operations and leading the company to its NetZero ambitions.
Speaking about the sustainability drive that the company has embarked on, Bob said:
“Sustainability can no longer be considered nice to have, it must inform every decision of a forward-looking company, with the team, the company’s key stakeholders and clients making a commitment to deliver.”
With a skilled, knowledgeable, dedicated team; state-of-the-art manufacturing facility; commitment to sustainability; and the backing of the parent company Indutrade, the future of Puretech and sister companies, which has already proven its credibility as a world player, looks very bright.
