Sustainability

Puretech’s goal is to integrate sustainability into every project we embark on and into the fabric of our business operations.

Puretech is unwavering in our efforts to be more sustainable, and we are dedicated to minimising our environmental footprint. Additionally, we take pride in our contribution to helping our customers reach their objectives by offering systems and solutions that positively impact businesses on a global scale.

As a business, we use 100% green power and have ISO14001 (Environmental Management System). We are also working towards being a NetZero company and the accreditation ISO14064-1 2019, the Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Emissions and Removals Standards. Our parent company Indutrade has signed the UN Global Compact Sustainability Initiative. In doing so, Puretech has indirectly committed itself to working with the Global Compact’s ten principles for sustainable development in the four areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.

As part of our ongoing sustainability journey, we are proud to have achieved Silver Accreditation from the Supply Chain Sustainability School. This nationally recognised benchmark demonstrates our active efforts in areas such as carbon reduction, ethical procurement, and employee wellbeing. It reflects our approach to continuous improvement and confirms that our processes align with industry best practices in sustainability.

We give consideration to three key aspects of sustainability:

Economic

We’re dedicated to delivering improved sustainable solutions while also supporting our clients in their efforts to achieve the same objectives.

Social

As an employer we endeavour to provide secure employment in a safe, supportive environment and look to bring value to the community by offering apprenticeships and opportunities for employees to develop their skills.

Environmental

Environmental sustainability informs the way we conduct our business and our innovations. We set targets and implement actions to increase the reuse and recycling of the materials we use, to source materials responsibly and select those with low environmental impact and to protect the environment. For the last 3 years, our company car policy states that all new company cars will be a plug-in hybrid or a fully electric car, and we’re installing solar panels on the roof of our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. We aim to consistently enhance our effectiveness across these three pivotal areas.
